Description
Without a doubt, one of the greatest requirements among today’s rugby players and coaches is the long-term development of rugby players and the improvement of running technique, speed, and explosiveness. Speed and quickness are skills that can be taught and not just something you were born with. Rugby players now need to be faster, fitter and stronger to be able to play the game at an elite level.
Players are not sprinters. They need to have the ability and capacity to repetitively:
- Accelerate
- Decelerate
- React and change direction at speed
- Maintain multiple sprints without recovery
