Josef Pace

International Consultant of Education

Josef Pace, a Physiotherapist by profession, is the International Consultant for Courses and Education and the Physiotherapy Director of The Running School Ltd, London, UK.

Apart from his international work, Josef is the owner and Rehabilitation Director of PhysioPoint Malta and The Movement School Malta within Da Vinci Health a private healthcare facility in Malta. He studied at the University of Malta and qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2001. He is a qualified Diagnostic Ultrasound Musculoskeletal Sonographer through the University of East London and has a Masters in Musculoskeletal Medicine. In 2019, he completed full training to become a Certified Running and Movement Technique Specialist trained by The Running School UK.

Having led the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation department within Da Vinci Health for 20 years he now occupies the post of Chief Operations Officer of Da Vinci Health, a Private Hospital in Malta.

Upon graduation, Josef entered the Maltese National Health Service working in various areas of specialties and spent 11 years working in the main Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Services Department. He set up the Emergency Department Physiotherapy Services at Mater Dei Hospital (MDH) Malta and formed part of the Physiotherapy Management team at MDH responsible for all Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation outpatient services and Emergency Department Physiotherapy Services. His main interests are Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Sports Injuries, human performance and the importance of neural stimulation in managing and rehabilitating musculoskeletal, developmental and neurological conditions. Movement Analysis and correct exercise therapy based on inefficient movements have become an integral part of his daily practice. He obtained various certifications in acupuncture, myofascial release techniques, manipulative techniques and is a and qualified instructor at the Australian Pilates Physiotherapy Institute. He also occupied the post of Vice President of the Malta Association of Physiotherapists for 4 years and was an elected member of the appeals board of the Council of Professions Complementary to Medicine. He is a consultant to local and international sports, dance and rehabilitation organisations.  Josef is frequently invited to speak at conferences on the Running and Movement School Methodology across the world last two being Poland in 2023 and Dubai in 2024 at the World Congress of Sports Medicine.  He is also an appointed global expert on Body Pain and Natural Wellness for SANOFI.
