Mike is the founder and Performance & Rehabilitation Director of the Movement & Running School. Mike’s passion for Rehabilitation and Speed began a long time ago when as teenager he had a serious knee injury. After years of bad advice and inefficient rehabilitation, he began to study movement patterns and training methodologies from different sports. He specialised in movement re-patterning and rehabilitation after injury or surgery and focused on Speed training for athletes of different sports.
He set-up the first Rehabilitation & Speed centre in the UK 1999 and his Clients include among others : athletes and teams from, The English Premiership, English Championship, German Bundesliga Rugby Union, Rugby league, Handball, Lacrosse, European Olympic Associations as well as Elite Track & Field athletes including World & Olympic Gold Medallists. Mike has been a coach for over 35 years and began coaching in 1982. He has worked in the UK, Europe and the USA. He has coached at professional and academy level and is a consultant for a number of professional Football clubs as well as track and field athletes in the UK and Europe. His Movement Re-Patterning methodology is not restricted to elite and up and coming athletes 50% of all the clients to the two London centres come for rehabilitation after surgery or injury. Mike and his team work very successfully with Stroke survivors, Parkinson’s, MS as well as with people with other neurological issues. The Kids Movement & Running Programme has been very successful.
Mike runs education courses and workshops for coaches, medical practitioners and rehabilitation specialists and has been described as one of the UK’s most “Innovative Coaches and Rehabilitation Specialists”. The Movement & Running School Methodology – Has been rolled out to over 30 organisations and Franchises in The UK, Germany, Norway, Spain, The Middle East and Japan. Mike is the co- author of two books on Youth Fitness, 101 Fitness Drills for 7-11 & 12-16 years and “My Travel Fitness” a book on getting fit and staying fit while you travel. He is also the author and producer of the DVD on developing speed in football called “Feel the Speed”.
He has been featured on TV in the UK, Europe and in the USA and in a number of newspapers and magazines for his work with kids movement, running and elite athletes – : BBC News, Sky Sports, Runners World, Running Fitness, The Times, The Telegraph Daily Mirror, Daily Mail, and many fitness magazines. His training methodologies have also been highlighted in many countries.

Rehabilitation and Movement Specialist Sally graduated with a BSc in Sports Rehabilitation from St Mary’s University. Following this she underwent training at The Movement and Running School to expand her rehabilitation knowledge and apply it to individuals with movement dysfunctions and those returning back to sport from injury, as well as recreational to elite runners wishing to improve their running technique and prevent injury.
Her sporting background is in rhythmic gymnastics which she did from the age of 5 until 16 when she had to stop competing due to back injury. She now applies her rehabilitation knowledge to her own injuries and back pain which has improved significantly since following the methodology used at the Movement and Running School. She has also been involved in pole vaulting and runs 5-10km’s.
She has previously worked with Harlequins rugby team and as a therapist in a private clinic.

Ellie graduated from the University of Nottingham with a BSc in Sport Rehabilitation and Exercise Science. She competed for the University as a competitive rower and after gaining a scholarship, she went on to complete her master’s at The University of Tulsa in Athletic Training. It was here that she started working with runners, completing a placement with the colleges track and field team. She has been working with the Movement & Running School since early 2017 and works with everyone from 6 year old children with movement dysfunction to people recovering from injury or surgery and to recreational & elite runners who are looking to improve their technique and run faster.

Lee is a Certified DMS Master Coach and Running Technique Master Coach as well as a Level 4 Qualified Personal Trainer.
Lee first came across The Movement & Running School 8 years ago after he attended the first of the Dynamic Movement Skills (DMS) courses when it was released to the public. He was very impressed with this methodology and having been a Personal Trainer since 2005, he integrated the techniques into his training sessions and found some great results with his clients. He found this training helped with a number of young County sports players representing various age groups at tennis, squash, badminton, cricket and hockey. He also worked with two Welsh National Skiers from the age of 14-16 years of age and carried out Cricket-specific sessions with U13’s Hampshire County Cricket Team. He added to his experience working at The Winchester Racquets and Fitness as Assistant Fitness Manager and ran the Basingstoke Running School Clinic from 2014-2015
He was then offered the chance to join the Running School team full time in 2016 where he now specialises in running technique coaching and Dynamic Movement Skills.
As for personal interests, Lee always played cricket and football from a young age, playing grade cricket in Sydney, Australia. He has also run a number of 5kms, 10 kms, 10 mile events. To date, a 10 mile PB time of 1:19 at The great South Run.
Lee is now re-learning how to run again after major hip surgery so he understands what a lot of his clients are going through.

Rehabilitation and Performance specialist Lucy graduated from Millennium Performing Arts as a Professional dancer. She is a certified personal trainer and is currently studying Physiotherapy at Kings College London.
Having worked as a professional dancer she has experienced many injuries and understands the frustrations associated with them.
Lucy began her journey at The Running School as a client attending for rehab of a chronic back injury so has first hand experience of how beneficial and successful the methodology is. She has been working at The Running School since early 2018 and has experience working with a variety of clients from stroke patients to professional athletes, children with movement issues to adults with debilitating injuries. She finds nothing more rewarding than helping a client reach their goals especially helping rehab patients reduce their pain.
Lucy enjoys running for fitness, achieving her first half marathon this year and hoping to complete her first marathon next year. She is also a keen netball player playing for a league in North London.
