For full course description, see overview below.

Description

This two-day practical course is designed for health, fitness, and sports professionals who work with runners and athletes recovering from injury or surgery. Using the proven methodology developed by The Movement & Running School, you will learn a functional and progressive approach to take clients from injury through to full return-to-play.

The course focuses on identifying the root causes of common musculoskeletal injuries in running and multidirectional sports. You will learn to apply structured rehabilitation protocols and develop movement re-education strategies tailored to each injury. The emphasis is on practical application, giving you the confidence to implement effective recovery programmes in clinical and sports settings.

You will gain a deeper understanding of why 60 to 70 per cent of runners experience injury due to training errors, and how to address these issues with evidence-based interventions. You will also develop the skills needed to assess movement, plan rehabilitation programmes, and reintroduce pain-free running and sport-specific movement.
