Biomechanical Running Analysis

Product Rating:

A biomechanical analysis is a 60 minute session where we will analyse your running technique using video analysis and we will analyse your movement using a Functional Movement Analysis. This will allow us to identify any weaknesses and inefficiencies that could cause injury or prevent you from running faster. Discover how we can help you reduce your risk of injury, improve your efficiency and get the most out of your running.
See more details below

This session is the most important because we look at the weaknesses of the body in movement. How your body reacts to the change of movement going from walking to running and from running to sprinting. Balanced biomechanics, form, and technique are key factors to running faster, more efficiently, and injury-free. Correct running form ensures that we create and maintain linear momentum, reduce joint impact, minimize energy loss and maximize efficiency and economy. The application of Biomechanical, Gait and Movement Analysis and video documentation helps us to identify any weaknesses and the underlying causes for weaknesses in walking, running, and sprinting. The results help us to develop individualised, technique, pre-hab and performance programmes for people.

This biomechanical analysis is suitable for:

  • Beginner runners
  • Serious amateurs
  • Elite runners
  • Distance runners
  • Sprinters
  • Triathletes

My first visit to The Movement and Running School was more than an eye opener - it was shocking; shocking in a good way. The first session involved being honest about previous running injuries. I told about most things, but decided to leave a few out; which very quickly proved pointless - these were spotted almost immediately!
